Office OOTD
I am in a very lucky position to be graduated, working full time, and still living at home. I find this lucky, because I can spend my whole paycheck on my wardrobe instead of rent! (lol) As I try to build my professional wardrobe, I will feature my favorite looks under a new series called Office Outfit of the Day! (#OfficeOOTD) You can shop my looks below with links to exact or similar pieces.
The first look to debut was inspired by my inner Hillary Banks. I wanted to gravitate my looks towards patterns, colors, and pearls! Once I started working in “Corporate America” I was told white and blue shirts would become my best friends. Some advised me that bold colors or patterns were unprofessional, and risked me not being taken seriously. In the back of my mind I thought of some of my style icons: Whitley Gilbert, and Hillary Banks, and how their style was bold and colorful but still sophisticated. I decided to ignore the helpful advice to keep it safe, and invested in the wardrobe I felt confident in. I knew that I wouldn’t be excited to wake up at 6am and put on a white shirt everyday; my clothes allow me make every day work a new adventure each day.
Today’s look:
