Snow Day

As the winter weather storms on schools across the nation are closing due to snow, ice, and freezing rain. I did have one snow day, but unfortunately it was back to school for me today. Since the winter is extremely harsh on skin, and natural hair I wanted to make sure I was bundled up headed to class. The only issue with wearing heavy clothes in the winter, is how hot you get once you step indoors. I have found the best remedy to the extreme temperature changes is layers! Snowy, winter days are the best time to layer your favorite sweaters, and coats. My first layer of clothing for today's outfit, was an all black, cotton jumpsuit from Fashion Nova. The jumpsuit is extremely comfortable, and makes a great layer to build on. I put a cream, cashmere sweater from Nordstrom, on top of the jumpsuit; and paired it all with a vibrant, red knit scarf. My final layer, was olive green winter Parka by Sam Edelman. Since most UGGS are not water, and weather proof, my preferred winter boot is Hunter brand. The Hunter Boots (tall) with fleece sock inserts are a warm and waterproof option for winter. I completed my look with a IVY Park hat, Michael Kors Watch, Alex and Ani bracelets, and gold hoops from Nordstrom Rack. I was warm and comfortable to whole day despite the temperatures reaching a low of 7 degrees fahrenheit.  Below you'll find my completed look, and all the information so you can shop the outfit!
